The world of Erde is much like our own. It’s roughly 24,000 miles around at the equator with a rotational period that matches. It has a single satellite, a small airless body created at about the same time as the planet. It has an axial tilt of 23º which gives it distinct, and recognizable, seasons.
Erde is different in two significant ways. First, instead of a single sentient species, Erde has evolved at least seven: humans, elves, dwarves, gnomes, halflings, goblins, and Eidechse (lizard folk). Second, it has an abundance of free magic – a natural energy that many have learned to harness and direct.
Erde is the home of my current Dungeons and Dragons™ campaign titled The Sons of Moon and Sea. I’ll be posting bits and pieces of the world as it’s built, along with scenarios from the campaign.
