Gar and I played long into the night. He won three hands to my one. Then he taught me to play a board game much like chess, and he beat me in five moves. He also talked, a lot. I think he knows I won’t be staying, and the people I will share his life with won’t be a problem. I think I’m going to miss him when I go.
